Answer:
The new web mail will allow you to access your CCSI email anywhere,
whether traveling a long distance or across the world, using a cyber café,
friend's computer, or the computing clusters. You will not
necessarily need your own ISP to check mail away from CCSI, just a
means or way to connect to the Web.
The web mail is especially suited to a quick
review and response to messages. It allows you to view what is
currently in your mail box, browse those messages, delete
unnecessary ones, and compose responses. It will not let you
save messages locally on that temporary computer you.
A desktop client, such as Outlook Express,
provides much greater flexibility in receiving and managing mail.
Your Messages get downloaded from the server after you get connected,
saving them locally on your machine. You can arrange them into
folders, filter messages, and compose and save responses.
However, this means that the Outlook Express has
to be installed on your machine. When traveling or otherwise away from
your usual computing environment in which you use Outlook
Express, the new web mail can be used to
manage all your new email.
